    CBD has many purported health benefits, including anxiety relief and sleep regulation, so why not add it to your baked goods? The CBD will mix in, and you will never know it is in your baked goods. 

    One of our favorites is CBD Banana Bread. For this recipe, we’re using our own CBD Powder, made with 100% pure hemp

    CBD begins to degrade at 392º F (200º C), so we’re going to bake our CBD banana bread at a lower temperature to preserve the integrity of the CBD. 

    Though we’re baking our banana bread at 325º F (165º C, we should note that when cooking with CBD, you could easily set your oven above 392º F (200º C). When baking, minding the internal temperature of the baked goods is more important than the heat of the oven. Since most baked goods never exceed 212° F (100° C), which is far below the 392º F (200º C) where CBD begins to break down, you could easily mix CBD Powder into your own recipes that bake above 392º F (200º C).

    If you’re looking for a healthy, dairy-free banana bread with the added benefits of CBD, look no further than this recipe. 

    Ingredients:

    • ¾ cup extra-virgin olive oil
    • ¾ cup brown sugar
    • 1 ¾ cup flour
    • 2 large, cage-free eggs
    • 3 large bananas, smashed or pureed in a food processor
    • ¼ cup milk of choice or water (we use Vanilla Almond Milk for a little extra flavor)
    • 1 teaspoon baking soda
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • ⅛ teaspoon CBD Powder
    • ½ teaspoon salt
    • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon, 
    • ¾ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

    Cooking Directions: 

    • Preheat oven to 325º F (165º C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
    • In a large bowl, whisk CBD Powder and oil together. Once dissolved, add the brown sugar. Add the eggs and beat well, then whisk in the mashed bananas and milk. 
    • Add the baking soda, vanilla, salt, and cinnamon, and whisk to mix. Stir in the flour.
    • Pour the batter into your greased loaf pan.
    • Bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the bread cool in the loaf pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool for 20 minutes before slicing

    Cook’s Note: If you cannot find banana pie spice, use 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves, 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg, and 1/4 teaspoon allspice.

    CBD Dosing Note: 

    ⅛ of a teaspoon is is ~360mg of CBD per loaf of banana bread. Slice the loaf into ten pieces to get 36mg of CBD per serving.
